For over thirty years, the Boston Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) has provided a valuable resource for legal administrators. More than one hundred and ninety-eight members benefit from regular meetings, educational programs, a job bank, and special interest group programs designed to meet the professional needs of law firm managers.
Our Award Winning chapter meets monthly, normally on the second Thursday. On average, the chapter sponsors ten educational programs annually in order to provide ongoing professional development for chapter members. Chapter meetings provide a variety of interesting speakers and the opportunity to maintain peer networks.
In addition to the monthly meetings and educational programs throughout the year, the Boston Chapter also conducts an annual compensation survey, members only electronic message forum, and hosts special events such as the annual Summer Social, the Managing Partners Luncheon, and an informational Reception.
The chapter also provides a focus for special interest groups, such as "Small Firm Management" and "Human Resource Roundtable." These groups meet on a regular basis to discuss issues and emerging trends.
