Presidents Message:
With several pairs of very large shoes to fill, worn most recently by Karen Glowacki, Chris O’Sullivan and Paul Masuret, I start my term with much trepidation and excitement. Thanks to Paul, the current board starts a new term on the heels of a great National conference in Vegas highlighted by many impressive awards including a Platinum for the President’s Award. We are all very grateful to Paul for his leadership in the past year and I personally am most appreciative of his guidance and unwavering support. In addition, the program committee, lead by Janice Hayes, continues to wow us with one great luncheon speaker after another. Keith Lockhart exceeded our expectations at the annual Managing Partner luncheon and we’re all looking forward to comic relief as well as some insight on the human condition with Loretta LaRoche at our final luncheon on June 14th before the annual summer break.
"Break" may be a misnomer when referring to the summer ahead. Although it’s customary to take a break from monthly luncheons, the chapter will be far from idle over the next few months. Once again Paul Masuret has a fabulous golf tournament planned at Sandy Burr, a new venue, on June 13th. And Peggy Binder and Liz Ounanian, along with the vendor committee lead by Kevin Costello, have a great summer meet and greet in store at the Taj on July 26th. In the meantime, Henry Chase and Joe Migliore are taking advantage of the summer to plan our local education conference for the fall and Sue Kinnear and her committee are gearing up for another rewarding Community Challenge weekend October 14th.
Come join us. Bring your ideas and your talent and be part of one of the many committees afforded by the Chapter.
Last but not least, don’t forget to plan for the next Region 1 Educational Conference scheduled for October 20th in Wilmington Delaware. Our own Karen Glowacki is a member of the Region 1 committee and she is hard at work planning this conference. Watch for registration details on the National website.
