Presidents Message:
There’s something about the
fall that gets your juices pumping, your passions heightened and
your thirst for knowledge reinvigorated. Maybe it’s the brisk autumn
weather or the return of the school year after summer vacation.
Whatever it is, there’s an excitement in the air and it’s a good
time to start new projects and sharpen your skills. How better
than to get involved with your local ALA
chapter! During the summer, many of our committees were
working diligently to ensure an exciting season.
The program committee kicks
off the season with our first monthly luncheon on September 20th
featuring Paula Alvary. Come back and get reacquainted with
old friends and make some new while you learn about what’s happening
in the legal industry.
The One Day Educational
Conference Committee has fabulous offerings at this yearly event on
November 15th
including Channel 5 newscaster Liz Brunner as the keynote speaker.
And don’t forget our Community Challenge Weekend
October 14 - 15th. This is always a rewarding experience.
As is
the Regional Conference commencing on October 20th
in Wilmington Delaware.
If the
autumn season has whetted your appetite for learning then your plate
is full. Dig in! Keep up to date at
www.alaboston.org. The
website committee will keep you in the know. Make it your home
page.
See you there!
