HR Educational Program & Roundtable -EveryBODY Sends a Message

Co-Sponsored by Association of Legal Human Resource Managers

details

People decide if they like you and will do business with you in within 90 seconds.  You have 7 seconds to impress someone.  Within 2 seconds people form an opinion about you….often before you even speak. In order to connect quickly and sustainably with co-workers, team members or interviewees it is essential to understand the messages you are delivering non-verbally; and to also understand what others are “telling you” through their body language.

This program will equip you to not only identify the non-verbal clues people give us in social and business settings but will also assist you to understand how to navigate the conversation accordingly.

In this session we will focus on:

·         How to decipher common body language indicators

·         Recognizing your own body language and the messages you are sending

·         Power poses – what are they really telling us

·         How to identify anxiety vs. deceitful behavior

·         How to recognize when someone is engaged with you…..or not

·         Adjusting your approach/conversation based on non-verbal signals
