More Leave Laws In the Mix: Navigating the FFCRA, FMLA, and Other Massachusetts Leave Laws

Kathleen R. O’Toole and Catherine M. DiVita of Conn Kavanaugh’s Employment Litigation/Counseling Group will discuss the ins and outs of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which went into effect on April 1, 2020.  The program will cover topics such as: 

  • Nuts and bolts of the FFCRA, including both the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA) and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (EFMLA);
  • The interplay of FFCRA leave with the FMLA, the Massachusetts earned sick time law, and other state leave laws;
  • Appropriate documentation of leave and related payroll tax credits; and
  • Miscellaneous FAQ’s arising out of the FFCRA and its implementation. 


The presentation will be interactive, and a Q&A/discussion will follow.
