The Boston Chapter - Supporting Equality

The Boston Chapter ALA would like to recognize our colleagues, friends, family members and communities of all colors and express our support, standing against social and racial injustice and in support of access to justice, economic fairness, equality and inclusivity in everything we do. “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light”- Buddah. The Boston Chapter is focused on the light; we see a bright & joyful future for our city and, together, we aspire to make a positive and meaningful impact. The Chapter is committed to fostering an environment of inclusion where diversity is valued & respected. It is our ongoing mission to develop and promote programs that foster an inclusive environment within our Chapter, our industry, and the broader communities we serve. Together we can make a positive impact.

To that end, the Boston Chapter ALA has made a donation to the NAACP Boston Branch in the amount of $2,500. The NAACP is the largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the nation, founded in 1909 in response to the ongoing violence against Black people around the country. Their mission is to secure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.
