How and why did you come to work with law firms? Law firms have always been one of the biggest drivers of the local business landscape. Therefore, John Leonard began providing the legal community with quality and cost effective Temporary and Direct-Hire staffing solutions when we opened our doors in 1969. In fact, we were originally named Legal Secretaries, Inc.
Today, even as we have broadened our footprint across other industries, John Leonard continues to have a deep commitment to the legal sector, as evidenced by our Gold level partnership with the Boston Chapter ALA.
Why is your service/product important to law firms? A firm’s greatest asset is its people. John Leonard’s comprehensive and exhaustive screening and selection process ensures that only the most qualified candidates are presented to clients.
What makes your service/product unique? John Leonard’s highly developed network of proven performers is critical to our client’s success. The majority of our direct-hire candidates and temporary representatives are referred to us directly and would not otherwise be accessible to our clients.

Share how your company solves problems. John Leonard recognizes that no two law firms are the same and each has their own specific cultural make-up that sets them apart. Each staffing engagement begins by having a detailed discussion with our client to determine what makes a “good fit” for a particular job, within that particular organization. Our Staffing Consultants request that clients provide us with an insight into the “report to” supervisor's personality and job related "hot buttons," as well as a description of the personality type proven to be successful. This information is critical to providing successful solutions for our clients’ staffing problems.
But it doesn’t stop there. Once you have hired the new employee or accepted the temporary for your assignment, we make sure you have made the best choice by conducting our “two-week performance assessment” or our “temporary worker evaluation” where you confirm that you have the best fit for your need.
