Boston Chapter ALA
President’s Letter
May 2019

Dear Fellow Members and Business Partners:

As someone who finds great value in being a Member of the Boston Chapter, it is my honor to serve as the 2019-2020 Chapter President.  During my year as President-Elect, I worked with and was mentored by Amy Egan Cook, now Immediate Past President, and her predecessor, Christopher O’Sullivan, to plan another year of exciting educational programming and networking opportunities, including our highly-attended Quarterly Events offering several top-rated speakers.

2019 is a significant milestone for the Chapter, as it marks our 45th anniversary.  Since its establishment, the Boston Chapter has endeavored to provide top-notch educational and professional development opportunities to our Members.  In addition to educational programming, membership provides the invaluable opportunity to network with peers throughout the legal industry.

June promises to be a very busy month!  On Tuesday, June 4, the Chapter’s 2019 Golf Tournament and Casino Event will take place at The Cape Club of Sharon.  This event is for golfers of all skill levels and the casino night will surely be a great way to network and have some fun with colleagues.  Our second Quarterly Event takes place on Wednesday, June 12, featuring Captain Richard Phillips: A True Hero’s Remarkable Story.  This is an event you won’t want to miss, and we look forward to hosting many of our Member’s firm leaders for this exciting presentation.

The success of the Chapter is largely a result of our Business Partner program.  Without the support of our Business Partners, we would not be able to provide this caliber of education and networking.  I would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank all of our Chapter Business Partners for their continued support and contribution to our success.

I look forward to seeing each of you at one of our upcoming events!

Sincerely,

Amy McDuff
President – Boston Chapter, 2019-2020
